Sony’s latest State of Play showcase, which aired on September 24th, treated PlayStation fans to a whirlwind tour of over 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 titles. From highly anticipated sequels to nostalgic throwbacks and innovative new IPs, the 30-minute presentation offered something for everyone.
PlayStation State of Play Delivers a Packed Lineup: Ghost of Yotei, Alan Wake 2 DLC, and More!
The highlight for many was the reveal of Ghost of Yotei, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Ghost of Tsushima. Set in 1603, players will take on the role of a new Ghost, Atsu, and explore the breathtaking landscapes surrounding Mount Yōtei. Expect another stunning open-world adventure packed with action and atmosphere when the game launches in 2025.
Alan Wake 2 Fans Rejoice with Lake House DLC
Remedy Entertainment announced Lake House, the first DLC expansion for their hit survival horror title, Alan Wake 2. Players will once again step into the shoes of FBI agent Kiran Estevez as she investigates a chilling incident at an FBC research station near Cauldron Lake. The DLC is slated for release sometime in October.

- Fear the Spotlight, a 90s-inspired survival horror game published by Blumhouse Studios, is creeping onto PS5 and PS4 on October 22, 2024.
- Towers of Aghasba, a unique action-adventure builder set in a vibrant fantasy world, will launch into early access in November 2024.
- Dynasty Warriors: Origins will explore the roots of the Yellow Turban Rebellion when it releases on January 17, 2025.
- Monster Hunter Wilds promises a thrilling new hunting experience when it launches on February 28, 2025.
- Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is coming to PS5 and PC on October 31, offering a visual upgrade to the beloved open-world adventure.
- Fantasian Neo Dimension, a stunning JRPG from Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, will release on December 5.
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard impressed with its first gameplay reveal, showcasing BioWare’s signature storytelling and combat. The game launches on October 31.
- Astro Bot Rescue Mission fans can enjoy 50 new levels with a free DLC update available now.

- Hell is Us, a mysterious third-person action game from Rogue Factor, promises a unique blend of genres when it launches in 2025.
- Metro Awakening, a PS VR2 exclusive, delves into the backstory of Khan in an immersive survival horror experience. The game launches on November 7.
- Palworld, the controversial “Pokémon with guns” survival game, is available now on PS5.
- Hitman: World of Assassination is getting the VR treatment, allowing players to become Agent 47 like never before. The game is expected to launch in December.
- Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered will bring the classic action-adventure series to modern platforms with enhanced visuals and 60 FPS on December 10.
